Function can be a part of expression

Function can be called from SQL statements where as procedure can not be called from the sql statements.

Functions are normally used for computations where as procedures are normally used for executing business logic.

Functions can be used in select or update or delete statement.

A function always return a values while procedure can return one or more values through Parameters

Trigger gets automatically executed when insert update or delete is fired on a table.

It is a type of stored procedure invoked automatically for a predefined DML operation .cannot accept parameters.

Triggers provide a way of executing PL/SQL code on the occurrence of specific database events.

commit cannot be done in case of triggerrs except for autonomous transactions.

when you create a trigger you have to identify event and action of your trigger.

Triggers are implicitly called by DB itself
