Here I come with some new ideas for updating Timesheet. You please also share your suggestion here.

Registration form

- Registration process to all – now admin only create new employee – need to update this, but keep user status (pending,activated,deactivated). Admin only activate, deactivate the employees.
- Change the header ‘New employee Registration’
- Keep first name, last name
- Keep more than one text box for getting address (address1, address2, postcode)

Add new project

- Instead of employee id in multiple drop-drown box add employee name (and give text in bracket press ctrl+F5 for multiple selection)

Calendar
- Use calendar which has been used in affiliate program.

Defaulter list

- Keep the current date in text box
- Keep two text box – one for starting date and another one is up to date for view defaulter list from between this two dates.

Date format

- In admin module give option for changing date format (ex, US, UK...)

Auto populate

- In edit pages – both employee edit page and project edit page give option for searching feature. Here apply auto populate once admin start type text.
- Based on the search word display records accordingly.

Report page – auto populate

- Instead of drop down box in select employee and select project for viewing particular user report use normal text box, and apply auto populate once admin start type text in these text box.
- Make code for ‘weekly report’

Multi language support

- make code for multi language support

Footer slider

- keep one form for getting user email.

Please share your suggestion also for further enhancements.

Employee Module

User Status:

# Welcome a user by name in all page and may also display today value.

Update Process:

# User itself update some field just like contact no, Email id, Area of Interest, Address.
This will reduce the admin work load.

View Report:

# User also view report in many filters i.e project name, status, date and time spent.
and report page has both employee details as well as Project Details (Daily status) to separate this is in two pages i.e Employee Details and Project Details. This will Employee itself know the status of Project Work status, Learning status, and Leave status.

Header Section:

# Already One Header is present at top with logo image and next also the Header "Quality Point Technologies" is show in ever page. Same information is show repeatedly.

Footer Section:

# This project not having footer section in anyone of the page. Footer is need for all pages.

Feed Back Form:

# This page is helps to getting User Feed back about the project.

Employee and Admin module


1. Weekly status timesheet

a)Allow user to enter weekly time status .
b)provide option for view previous week status
c)provide option for enter next week(if user didnt enter timesheet for past few weeks)
d)give current week button where ever user view this will show current week range
c) two option for save the timesheet
i)save button - save timesheeet status
ii)submit button- submit for submit the weekly status to admin verify after user cant modify.
e)give difference for Sunday and Saturday
d)allow user to enter comments for that particular date

2.project details page (Admin only)


a) list number of projects open
b)list number of projects closed
c)provide option for reopened the project (if needed)
3. daily status page

a) allow user to edit the comments

4.Report page

a)provide option for auto populate to search easy (it structure like dropdown list ,ie user can enter or select from the list)

Time Sheet Next Version Requirements

1. Add month in the above in week dates

Example:
Display like

13 June to 19June

2. Over all time spent Calculation in both user and admin field(including all report page)

Example

For user’s notice…we should display total time spent in report page of the user.

For admin’s notice…we should calculate overall employee totaltime calculation
In admin field

3. If you already submitted timespent in the particular week.then you trying to open particular date within same week in daily time status…should show warning in alert format like “You already submitted in weekly status in this date ,you cant reenter again”.

4. We should make difference whether the page is submitted or saved…Because
If you look at that both buttons is indicated same…If we saved the weekly status
Save button should be make different with submit button.
It makes user friendly

Hi

The new version is timesheet 3.0 have weeklystatus entry.

the important feature in this new version is the introduction of Weekly status entry screen.

This new version has the draft saving option also. i-e the users can "Save" the timesheet details with "pending" status.
And, they can make any change before submitting it with "approval" status.

Hi

The next version 3.1 adds features such as allowing the Admin to enter Estimated budget and Estimated hours for the projects. And the admin can enter different hourly rate of each employee.And the report will include the Total budget in addition to the total hours.

* Option to toggle between Decimal Mode and Minutes Mode.
* New fields for getting starttime and End time in the Daily Report Entry Screen.

* New fields in Myprofile page
* Change password Option
* Regulated Backup feature
* Implemented Autocomplete to easily select requied project or employee in the report page.
