Timeline in Twitter Application

This tool can be used to see Timelines of various Twitter accounts from a single window without the problem of logging on and off between your Twitter accounts.

You can perform the following functions from your timeline

  • You can Retweet from your Timeline.
  • You can reply for a particular tweet from Timeline.
  • You can reply to all the names that are @ mentioned in a tweet.
  • Quoted Retweet – You can add word content to the end of your tweet before posting.

1)Start Timeline Tool

  • Click Timeline Tool link from side bar.
  • Following screenshots will show about how to start Timeline Tool.

2)Selecting the account

  • You can select any of the Twitter account for which you need to see the timeline.
  • Click “GO” to view the timeline.

3)Retweeting a tweet from the timeline

  • Select the Tweet You want to Retweet (RT) to your followers.
  • On that Tweet You can find option for ReTweet click that .
  • Once Retweet is successful you can find a success message at the top .

4)Quoted Retweet

  • This feature adds word content to our Tweet thus making the work of Tweeting simpler .
  • Select the Tweet that You want to Quoted Retweet and click “Quoted Retweet”
  • Once clicked a window will pop up where you can type you tweet and sent.

5)Reply

  • You can reply to the Tweet from the timeline itself .
  • Just select the Tweet you want to reply and click “Reply”.
  • A window will popup where you can Tweet your reply .


Twitter Application-About Great Quotes

  • This tool has been integrated with the great Quotes site.
  • This tool can be used to send motivational and Inspirational quotes from the great Quotes site to the required Twitter accounts.
  • You can set the time duration and the accounts for which you need to send the quotes from the great quotes site. Once time duration is set this tool will send quotes to all your account till you deactivate this process.
  • You can activate and Deactivate this feature for individual accounts.

1)Start  Great Quotes

  • Click Auto Trends link from side bar
  • Following screenshots will show about how to start auto trends

2)Activate Great Quotes

  • Click YES to proceed over Great Quotes
  • Click NO to reject Great Quotes

3) Edit Time Interval

  • Here You can find an option to edit the time duration for each Tweet which can be used to change the time duration.
  • In Default time Duration will be set to one hour.
  • We have option to change the time duration upto 5 hours.
  • Click Update to save the changes in the time Interval.
  • Click cancel to reject changes.

4)Deactivate Great Quotes for Twitter Account

  • Click deactivate option to deactivate a particular twitter account for the great quotes.
  • After clicking the deactivate option you will find an alert box to confirm the deactivation.
  • Click “OK” to proceed with the deactivation.
  • Click “CANCEL” to reject Deactivation.

5)Activate Great Quotes for your Twitter Account

  • Click the activate link to activate Great Quotes for your twitter account .
  • An alert box asking for conformation will pop up click “OK” to confirm

the activation .

Twitter Applications – New features

Recently we have added some more new features in our twitter applications.

– Timeline with ability to reply and retweet
– Mentions with ability to reply and retweet

Timeline

You can access this feature by clicking ‘Timeline’ link from left side menu box.

At default this page display 20 recent tweets with tweet posted time, source (from where this tweet posted), reply and retweet. At last have option link ‘more’ for getting next 20 tweets. You continuously get next 20 tweets by clicking ‘more’ link up to 200 tweets.

You can reply to any tweet or retweet any of your followers tweet from here itself. And also if you replied to anyone it display ‘reply to @username’ in that page like twitter ‘in reply to’.

Mentions

You can access this feature by clicking ‘Mention’ link from left side menu box.

Returns the 20 most recent mentions (status containing @username) for the authenticating user.

At default this page display 20 recent tweets with tweet posted time, source (from where this tweet posted), reply and retweet. At last have option link ‘more’ for getting next 20 tweets. You continuously get next 20 tweets by clicking ‘more’ link up to 200 tweets.

* Take the sql file from db folder and import in your phpmyadmin
* Update the db info in config.php file in both twit-status and twit-info folder
* Need to change twitter consumenr key, consumer secret and oauth callback in configOauth.php file
* In functions.php file change username and key in make bit ly function.

Where I have to change header and footer ?
* Template folder does not come along with the downloaded script. You have to delete the delete these header.php and footer.php included line in all files in twit-status and twit-info folder. Otherwise create one new folder named as ‘template’ in the same directory where ‘twitter’ and ‘forum’ folder resides. Inside ‘template’ folder you place the header.php file and footer.php file.

Where should I change facebook like button and other share buttons?
* For changing facebook like button and other share buttons you need to update in each files. No separate files or modules are available to update these social media plugins.

    Home page will dynamically display Random Text Quotes and Image Quotes and you can see permanent page for each quotes when clicking on that quotes.

    You can view all the Text Quotes and Image Quotes  by clicking the More button on the home page.

    And, you can view all quotes by author and category wise. Clicking author name in any quotes will display all quotes said by that author. 

    And, clicking category name in any quotes will display all quotes under that category.

    If the users forgot password, they can  click “Lost your password” link we marked in blue color circle.

    Other wise user can register clicking Register link. we marked in yellow color circle.

    After Registration mail will be sent to your email address that mail having Username and Password.

    Below Image is model for Favorite Quotes. Yellow star filled with yellow color.

    We marked pink color circle. That indicated that Quotes add as a Favorite Quotes.

    You can click that image to view all Favorites Text Quotes. Same as on Image Quotes also.

    If you want to share one Quotes through E-mail means click mail image on Quotes Box.

    After clicking the mail image on Quotes Box shows a pop up window having Three Text Box and One Text Area. First Text Box is your email id we marked blue color are arrow,

    Second is your Friend email id we marked pink color are arrow, Third is Subject box having

    default text as “The Great Quotes” and last text area having Selected Quotes not editable read only.

    After entering your email id and your friend email id please click Send Message button

    we marked as Red color circle in bottom of the window.

    After clicking Send Message button mail will be  sent and will show a message “Email Sent Successfully” in Red color font at top and bottom of the window.

    We marked status by green color circle at top and bottom of the window.

    The Quote Box having Image Quote, Corresponding text form,

    Corresponding Author name and Sharing Option and Favorite Option.

    Heading Topic under the links are corresponding Quotes category link.

    For example user click Motivation on sidebar will navigate to Motivational Text Quotes page.

    Heading Favorite under the links are Favorite Text Quotes and Favorite Image Quotes.

    User want to view only our Favorite Text Quotes means click Favorite Text Quotes link.
